Can I trade wood for bobbins?

While I am more then willing to make bobbins for people from their own wood, I have found that it is not a workable solution to trade wood for bobbins. I have done this in the past but found that the results are not satisfactory. First of all, estimating the number of bobbins in a piece of wood is an educated guess at best. And generally it is a lower number then the customer wants to hear. And the wood still needs to be processed, dried and cut to blanks prior to working it. So the time lag is not what the customer want to hear either.
